We are looking for a nanny to take care of our two girls for at least half a day up to two days per week (can be negotiated depending on nanny's preference and availability), starting in Summer 2008. At this time, the older girl will be three and a half years and the baby 6 months old.

Our family is quite international with daddy originally from the east of Canada and the mummy from Lucerne, Switzerland. Prior to moving to Zurich in 2003, we lived in New York for a couple of years.

Our flat is located in Zuerich City, easily accessible by public transportation and close to recreation areas (playgrounds, forest, lake). We do not require the nanny to do any household chores other than cooking (mainly for the kids).

The qualities we are looking for in a nanny are first and foremost that she is a caring and loving person who is passionate about taking care of young children. We seek someone who has lots of energy to provide for a stimulating and creative environment for our girls. Needless to say, we expect you to be reliable and trustworthy and that you are attentive to our children's safety.

I?m in Zürich and have been looking a for a job like this...I had two promises so far and none has kept their word when I got back here...so now i have to start all over to look for a job. I have lots of experience with kids....I was a volunteer for many years for orphanages and for and institutions in my country..by the way I'm from Romania, ...and also have lived in many parts of the world and worked mostly with kids. I suppose when you refer to your nanny search as a "she", you are looking for women only?

Thanks for your inquiry. I guess I always envisioned a female nanny but now that you ask I think a caring, responsible and experienced man could do just a fine a job as a woman.
