My wife's currently working for a large bank in the US as a Branch Teller. Now that we're moving to Zurich in the next couple of months, can anybody give us some advice on how she can look for a similar job with one of the Swiss banks.

Most job portals we visited did not yield much result and seems they insist on fluency in German most places. We would very highly appreciate any ideas, suggestions, pointers, experiences.

I thought that these jobs had virtually been eliminated by ATM's and of course the spaces left for tellers, require languages. So I reckon you will have to get very lucky to find a place without language other than English.

Also, as you are coming from the US, unless you or your wife has EU citizenship, her chances of gaining leave to work are very slim.

Maybe she would be better off looking for jobs like assistant in private equity or private trading firms? Just a thought.....

I don't wanna be a nay-sayer but your wife should know coming over here, that her chances of finding a job will be very very slim.

If she is with a large bank, she should ask for a transfer in any department in Zurich.
