Hi

I am a Graphic Designer, working in Dover, Kent. My partner lives and works in Leukerbad at the Rehabilitationszentrum
I have visited Switzerland 6 times and I have grown to love the beautiful scenery and life style it has to offer. I am learning German and its coming on quite well.
I would love to work in Switzerland - preferably Leukerbad or very near as a designer, but, I would accept any kind of work if it meant I'd get to live and work there.
I have applied for jobs with agencies but I never hear anything after an application has been sent.
If anyone can help in any way I would be extremely grateful.

We live part-time in Wallis [further up the Rhone Valley] but are retired.
It is a well known fact that it is rather difficult to obtain a work permit for what is ostensibly a tourist area: if you were willing to work in a hotel in some capacity, your chances would be much greater than trying to find work as a designer, although you might just be lucky.
Try looking under La Nouvellist [newspaper] to see whether anything is offered there. There are [as you probably know] lots of hotels in Leukerbad, Inden, or even down in the valley in Sierre/Sion. Good luck. Private em us if you need more help.
