Multi lingual jobs in Switzerland [looking for]

Recently joined...and asking a question on behalf of the other half!

My girlfriend is 27, has a german degree with marketing masters. She is french but speaks fluent english and almost fluent german (she was fluent but a few years in the UK put paid to that slightly).

So, we're contemplating a move to Basel, Geneva or Zurich. I want to know what the employment opps are like for teaching languages to business? Also the prospective earnings before tax in the different cantons. Either this or a job with logistics...however she has taught in secondary schools in the Uk (tough!) and here in France.

My girlfriend has become slightly disappointed with the work and pay in France and i don't blame her! I feel she needs a company that would take someone on and offer genuine career development aswell as good earnings...you say this in france and people just laugh.

We're currently living in Strasbourg, France.

Many thanks and hope to hear from someone in this area!

Regards

Richard

Hi there,

I just saw your posting and thought I'd get in touch.

I'd suggest contact Elan, which is an excellent job agency who will be able to offer you a FREE consultantion and answer any of your questions regarding permits, relocating, salaries etc. It's all part of their fantastic customer service.

Although they are an IT recruitment agency, they regularly have other job openings, especially Marketing roles. Plus, the added bonus is that they all speak English and many of the consultants are from the UK, so can give you sound advice about living in Zurich/Basel/Geneva/Lausanne (where their 4 offices are based) and Elan help you all the way through the recruitment process.

It's a very comfortable experience dealing with Elan. You really will not be disappointed, I assure you.

Plus, once you are working for Elan they offer free online training, which I think is fantastic and a unique selling point for the agency, as no other agency does this.

You say your girlfriend speaks French, German and English - which means she'd be an asset to any company in Switzerland. I reckon you should get in touch asap!

If you want to contact someone from Elan, the details are as follows:

Elan Computing Schweiz AG
Schweizergasse 14
8001 Zürich, Switzerland
Tel +41 44 229 99 99
Fax +41 44 229 99 22

you did also spot that Daniela works for Elan right?
But they are an established agency; look also at Swisslinx and the other usual suspects Some useful links here: http://www.englishforum.ch/jobs/324-...itzerland.html

Re: Multi lingual jobs in Switzerland [looking for]

Cheers for that. I think she was checking Monster lastnight, inspired by the programme 'Capitale' on french tv. It was documenting the amount of people working in geneva but living in france.

After time in France i think she needs to work with a good agency to successfully determine her job requirements...she's a clever cookie.

Thanks again

Richard
