PA or Boom Operator in ZH

Hi All,

I stumbled upon your thread today. I know you havent posted in a while, but I'm hoping this gets to one of you....

I will be moving to Zurich in September to be with my girlfriend(from Zurich), and I was hoping I could get some solid advice from you guys on finding work as a set/office PA or as a boom operator. I intend to stay in Zurich for a few months, so I am willing to try out various lines of work if the film/tv industry thing fails to pan out.

I'm from Cape Town, South Africa, and I've been working in the film industry for 2 and a half years, initially as a PA and then as a freelance boom operator/sound assistant. For the last year I've been working as a researcher for a production company to pay the bills while I work on my sound design reel...Anyway, enough about me, except for the fact that I'm really game for anything in TV/Commercials

Hope to talk to one for you guys soon...
Kurt

Re: PA or Boom Operator in ZH

You will get more attention here.

Good luck... BTW, just showing up and start working is not as easy as it
sounds. Look up the permits area of the EF for more info.
