I don't know how internships/summer jobs are usually done in Zurich, so I would be grateful for both general info and concrete ideas. My girlfriend is looking for a summer job/internship in(near) Zurich. She's currently doing a Computer Science degree focused on media and has interest and experience in logo design, advertisement, web design and DTP. Any ideas are welcome, I'd hate to see her flipping burgers... I mean, unless those burgers actually happen to be my dinner Would also consider a nonprofit organization.

Where is she from? She couldn't work with no permit, if she isn't even EU she won't get one to flip burgers. Maybe if you could give a better clue about her situation someone could give some advice?

Thanks for the reply. She (we) are from the Czech Republic, that's EU, but it's the second grade EU for some purposes, as we all know:-). I hold a B permit if that would somehow help her.

Is a visa needed for summer job / internship in this case ? Is it usual to do a summer internship in Switzerland? Is it usual for Swiss companies to take foreign students for internships ?
