The University of Basel's center for economics is looking for an IT administrator to maintain our servers based on Linux and Mac OS X Server. This is a permanent 80% job.
You can expect:
Your main task will be the maintenance of our servers for which you'll be working together with the IT coordinator. In addition to that you'll be assisting our supporter in maintaining our workstations (Windows XP + Mac OS X) and will be the central contact for our web site (LAMP + Typo3).
You offer:
Your experience in Linux server administration (preferably Centos / RHEL) and the general services (Apache, MySQL, PHP) form the basis of your application. In addition, the ideal candidate also has worked with Mac OS X server used as a directory service (OpenDirectory, DNS, DHCP, SAMBA) and has some preliminary knowledge of Typo3. If you're lacking any of the additional skills, you're willing to learn them on-the-job.
You need to have at least 2 years of experience in the relevant field. You have a good command of German (oral + written) and English.
