Just wondered if anybody might be able to point me in the right direction! I'm looking for legal work in the Zurich area and am not really making much progress.
I'm from the UK and am a solicitor qualified in England and Wales. I worked in the City for a leading UK-based international law firm for three years (two years of training contract and a year post-qualification). I specialised in Pensions law which involved lots of general contract work (drafting, reviewing etc). During my training, I worked in International Banking and Insurance/Reinsurance mainly, including spending time working in Russia. English is my mother tongue and I speak good French and intermediate German.
I've been here for 2 months and I have a B permit. I've signed up with several UK-based agencies and I'm checking all the usual job-sites daily (Monster, Jobs in Zurich, Totally Legal, Topjobs...). I'd like to work in the legal department of an international company, but I'm open to any suggestions! I worked as a researcher/writer for a legal publisher for a few months before qualifying so this could be another option.
If anyone knows of any suitable jobs or anywhere else I should be looking, I'd be very grateful for your help!
Thank You so much for this useful links!
