Wonder if any of you who may have some job contacts that may assist me in getting a job. I've been here in Zurich for 6 months and have received many rejections, mainly due to not knowing German language.

I am currently taking german language class to work out that weakness. Maybe just a brief description of what I have previously done.

I was last a project manager for an international Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company in Malaysia (yes, I am a malaysian and I moved here cos my husband offered a permanent job here). Anyway, my previous company provided payroll, financial services and call center solution. I was involved in the call center solution and my job involved 2 roles:
1. Pre-sales: I assisted the sales team in soliciting new businesses through customization of proposals and pricing based on the project requirements, and client presentation when required
2. Project Management: once a new project (call center in bound or outbound) is secured, I will be responsible to gather client requirements and to setup a call center operation based on the requirements. I would typically have a group or 4-5 people reporting to me in any project (could be more, based on the project).

Prior to that, I have done IT before (I have a major in Management Information System from US) as well as Marketing for my first job.

So if any of you could find me a fit in your organization, kindly give me a yell or setup a contact for me and I shall be able to proceed from there. I am actively searching for jobs via recruitment sites as well and i must say, it's really really difficult!

Just wanted to say hang in there! My husband and I moced over here due to a job offer on his part, and the company were very honest and upfront and said often spouses find it difficult to find a job immediately, and the timeline we should plan on is 12-18 months before I get a job!! We were just happy that they warned us.... Keep on trying, you'll get there! (as will I one day! )

Thanks Megan. Meanwhile, I am trying to enjoy myself, try to see as much of Switzerland as I can, picking up as much german language as I can

it's been 9 months already, despite help from my husband's boss, german is still a prerequisite for most part of it, even if in UBS.
