How find a job

I am moving to the Geneva area at the end of August with my husband who is starting a Master's degree at HEI. I have a master's in art history and am hoping to get a job teaching or researching at a university, international school or museum. However, I am feeling discouraged as I read about how difficult it is to get a work permit or to find jobs. Does anyone have any advice for me? Where should I look? Is it possible to look for the job before I get there?
Thank you for your help.
Courtney

Re: How find a job

using the internet will get you searching easy. Find the cities you are interested in, then locate them and their surrounding villages. Use search engines for placement companies like kellys temp, monster, adecco, etc.
it will also help if you can speak or read French.
