Looking for ANY Job in Zurich Area

Was trying to save this as a last "resort" and after exhausting my options (City Government Social Worker, Unemployment Office, Sending out Resumes etc) I have come to the realization that this might be my last option.

I am not in any legal problems or situations.

I am desperately seeking any form of job (part/full time - The work Hours DO NOT matter, if waking up at 0100(1am) is needed, then it will be done.) doing anything from stocking shelves to raking lawns, picking up trash, cleaning toilets, whatever it is doesn't matter as long as it can bring me 2.500,00 CH/month.

I am an American, English Speaking with only the most mundane knowledge of greetings in German. Prior Military service in the U.S. Marines pointing this out to state I can follow directions and instructions very well and thoroughly.

If anyone has any or knows of any job openings for -anything- (Legal) I am permitted and allowed to work in Switzerland just the lack of job is really taking its toll on my wife and myself.

Please only serious responses no "Go check out Robbing a bank - oh oh just kidding" type remarks like another thread with some illegal activities mentioned to some young lady.

Thank you in Advance.

Firstly, Hello! Welcome to the Forum

Thank you for your comments. It really is a tough time at the moment. It disturbs me that someone with your background can't find a basic opportunity. I hope members will keep in mind those needing a break - no matter how small - to maintain dignity and pay the bills.

Good Luck.

Have you already tried security / protection services or night club guard?
Seeing you have a military background, do also check out any jobs the Swiss military might offer (instructor, perhaps?) - maybe language will be an issue, but they could be interested in someone with prior experience...

Sorry, no available jobs I could point you to... Best of luck!

Re: Looking for ANY Job in Zurich Area

I'm afraid I can't help directly but I had a friend in London who managed to scrape together a few jobs by going round to loads of bars/restaurants and asking in person.

Good luck on your job hunt.

That's a very good suggestion, Securitas is constantly hiring, or so I've heard. Good luck, I am sure you'll find something, hopefully sooner than later!
