For our Geneva, Munich, Zurich offices, we’re looking for Solution Architects with the skillsets and profiles described below.


ROLE
====
Solution Architects at Optaros are critical resources in helping us expand and grow our business. Partnering with the sales team, you will have the opportunity to influence the way that projects are sold and delivered to our clients. You will work closely with our Sales Managers throughout Europe to close new business, advising clients throughout the sales cycle on technology trends and key architectural decisions. Depending on the size of the project, you may also run the project or play a technical advisory role to the team throughout the engagement.


QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have had experience positioning, designing, developing, and deploying large scale custom enterprise applications.


SKILLS
======
1) Technology and Thought Leadership

* Design architectural solutions for various problem types
* Extensive knowledge in the areas of custom software development (Web development experience is required)
o OOAD Methodologies
o OO Design Patterns
o J2EE Platforms, Tools and Frameworks
o Open Source Frontend Tools and Frameworks (Struts, Spring, PHP, AJAX, etc.)
o Web Services, middleware and messaging technologies (MQ Series, JMS, TUXEDO)
o Web Application Servers and associated products (Portal, Commerce, Workflow, content server)

2) Consulting Craft & languages

* Drive excellence in service delivery, methodology, and operations (Track record of managing successful projects
* Interact with and gain the trust of the highest level of technical and business unit level resources at client sites (Wins clients confidence)
* Excellent communicator (facilitation, presentation, verbal and written)
* Fluency in English
* Fluency in German for Zurich and Munich openings
* Fluency in French for Geneva opening

3) Sales Support and Client Management

* Effectively manage the technology track throughout the sales cycle
* Write clear and concise proposals and Statements of Work (SOW)
* Meet established revenue goals (business development and/or utilization)


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

The variety of projects, team and client interaction will allow you to build strong leading edge technical skills as well as solid business acumen and consulting expertise. Work is done at both the client location as well as our local offices. We ask that all our consultants be willing to travel to a certain degree, while we grow our business. Travel is managed on a project by project basis and we do our best to accommodate the need and interests of our consultants in our staffing model as we care for our people.
