I really need help to find a job as chemist

For one year I am unemployed chemist. I am Chemical Engineer in Inorganic Chemistry and Technology with many years of research and industrial experience. For one year every day I am looking for a job on internet. I have small children and any financial help from arbeitsagentur because I am member of worse part of EU, I am from Poland. If you have any possibility to help me find a job as chemist please help me. In my difficult situation I am looking for any job to survive but can`t get because for simple job I am overeducated. I was trying to get a job as driver, as cleaner but no one wants to give me such job so I am still looking for job in my chemical proffesion. I hope someone will give me hand.

Stop looking on the internet. Get out there with a pile of CVs (please check them thoroughly for spelling mistakes and make sure they look perfect). Go to conferences and meetups etc.

Why does everyone seem to think that CH is immune from the job restrictions other countries face. There are enough Swiss & existing permit holders out of work in all sectors in the same boat. The EF is not some form of employment agency, follow Mr E's advice as internet chat forums won't help.

Harsh but true I'm afraid, good luck.

Poland has a far bigger chemical industry than Switzerland, have you tried Pulawi, ZAK or PCC ? (to name but a few)

Where are you located and how mobile are you? Try Basel, there's a lot of chemicals here. But the best way to get in is to network.

You'll have to find a babysitter and go to things and meet people and TALK face-to-face, like the Life Science Network Basel, and other professional and even social clubs.

Also, How's your German? There should be much more chances in German companies. They typically do NOT advertise on internet, they just know people. So you have to know the people, that know these people that are hiring. Network auf Deutsch.

It's hard to be in the situation you are in, but you have to reach out to real human beings, not virtual ones on EF!! Please keep the faith, believe in yourself and know what you want. Hope has huge power!

What is the EF Papa Goose if not a networking tool of sorts? Meeting and conferences are not free generally, and frequently by invitation only. And indeed when was the last time you met a guy looking for a job at a meeting/conference. EF is a bulletin board which is for the most part anonymous; in which is frequented by a mixture blessing; I'v got a job lead from EF and an interview; didn't get the job, I dare say if I had I wouldn't be here.
That said plea for help never go down well;

Have you tried Recruitment agencies; I know most of them are full more **** then the yangtze river, but some are ok, the hardest part to find a good one.

Desperate and ineffective in this case I would say. What it is is s a general social site for advice on CH not a specialist legal, recruitment, or housing association site.

Just my opinion
