EZ Jet Customer Service - response to a question.

Their customer service is a joke. I wanted to book a flight to Gibraltar via LGW , in one go , so that the web site sorts out the connections rather than me try and balance the flight times and risk losing a seat on the second leg.

I sent them an email, via their support/web mail.

My question

"How can I book a trip from Zurich to Gibralta via London Airports in one step/booking ? I need EZ Jet to figure out the connection times etc. "

Their reply.

"I can confirm that you are able to make a booking with us online via easyJet.com. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me again, I will be more than willing to answer any questions which you may have.

Yours sincerely,

- A****** Walls -

Re: EZ Jet Customer Service - response to a question.

At least you got a reply, the last time we had a query we had to wait nearly 2 weeks and then all we got was similar to your standard reply, no use at all. When we have to use them when no other airline is available we have had some satisfaction from using the Swiss contact number. The UK one is impossible to get through to and leaving a number for them to call back a waist of time. It's not called Sleazyjet for nothing.

That's really funny. Imagine someone actually finding it difficult to book a couple of flights on EasyJet. It's the way you tell 'em.

Re: EZ Jet Customer Service - response to a question.

"Connecting flights are not part of easyJet’s product offering. The airline merely carries passengers to and from single destinations."

"7 Onward flights
If you have booked an onward flight with easyJet, this represents a separate contract. Please note that easyJet does not operate a connecting flight service, where you choose to book such an onward flight this will be considered to be a separate Journey and therefore you will need to check-in with your luggage for each Journey in accordance with the check-in requirements below. Consequently we advise that when booking an onward flight with easyJet, you allow at least two hours between the scheduled time of arrival of the incoming flight, and the scheduled time of departure of the onward flight."

Re: EZ Jet Customer Service - response to a question.

I'm 99% sure that easyJet won't let you book connections in this way. You have to book the legs individually. It is your responsibility to ensure that you leave enough time to make your connections (including any potential delays). EasyJet won't compensate you for missed connections.

If they did a full through flight on one ticket then they would have to take responsibility for your missed connection. Which is presumably why they don't do it.

Damn! Beaten to it. I need to be less comprehensive or learn to type faster.

I've done probably 30/35 flights with them over the past 5 years & I honestly cannot report any crap from them.
Plus they were absolutely brilliant with my sister when she had an emergency with her baby just as they were due to board at Manchester to come here a few months ago. They went out of their way to re-book them on a later flights for no extra charge.

I'm of the opinion that I'm just bloody thankful we're not on a Ryanair route.
