On a lighter note - you know you've integrated well here when you become convinced that only something super-expensive can be worth anything at all.

I epilate my armpits and I find it doesn't hurt so much now. When I first started doing it, I was in agony. If you keep on top of it (once a week to pick up any new growth) and resist the urge to shave in between then its well worth the couple of minutes of discomfort.

I have in the past waxed my own bikini line but used to have to sink at least half a bottle of wine before attempting it.... Something like that is best left to the professionals as its more efficient (due to waxer not being drunk) quicker and far less painful.

There used to be a Mens beauticians just opposite where I worked in Soho called MOT (Men On Top - great name!). On a Friday evening we used to watch the customers.... men/boys of a certain persuasion.... going in for their weekend "Full Body Wax"

Or back, crack & sack as it was also known.

Just because you're a man doesn't mean you get to get away with being, ahem, unkept.

Depends how unkempt. Back hair and beards, no way, the rest, well, it seems to be a very divided issue. But I think we've discussed the naked mole rat issue before.

Well, without going into too much detail, i like to keep 'tidy' but haven't felt the need to introduce hot wax to my nether regions yet.
And my previous comment probably isn't relevant in Switzerland anyway. I play a lot of sport here so am used to showering with other men and can't help but notice that hardly anyone here has any hair left downstairs. I'm not talking 'kept tidy', more 'bald'. I actually did a double take at one guy who had a very hairy chest and stomach with a perfect horizontal line just under his belly-botton, beneath which he was smooth as a baby's arse. Strangest thing I've seen in a while...

Tidy is good on a bloke.
A bloke keeping his underarm hair in check is quite hygienic.

Think ear hair, nasal hair, that kind of stuff

Problem is, some blokes are really proud of their facial hair, their mullet, their chest hair and probably their rhododendron bush pubic afro...

Edit: Tidy as in trimmed. I feel no need to have shiny bare cold blue bollocks.

No, no. That has nothing to do with it. I just don't think CHF 75 is "super-expensive" for a Brazilian. I can't find a good spa pedi for less than CHF 50 and I'm willing to pay more money for my nether regions than my feet. Never said super-expensive was better, only said you get what you pay for. But I'm also glad I've finally gotten to the point in my life where I no longer have to break the cost of things down into the cost/time/effort/perks of doing it myself analysis.

The 74 is for the trainee at Vanity... So I feel that's quite a lot.

Anyway, I'm sure I shall manage to one day earn enough money to have people do tedious tasks for me, right now I'm busy forming the intellectual, yet financially disadvantaged future backbone of the nation. Or something like that...

yeah, I'm more or less lazy when it comes to sh*t like that, I too used to do my own pedi's etc but honestly, when it comes down to it, I just like people doing that kinda stuff for me. I too was not too long ago "forming the intellectual yet finacially disadvantaged future backbone of the nation" but now that I've got a little extra money I like to put it towards someone giving me a massage or painting my toenails.

And so you should. I usually treat myself when I'm in Malaysia, there at least even the expensive places are affordable to me...

You see, this was not my own "Hoo-ha" (that expression always makes me laugh out loud!) in this particular instance...

I will confess that when I was younger I did actually have a similar experience, (no phone in the bathroom tho, that's for sure, besides, I would NEVER have admitted it then).

I wish I could own the talent for such great story telling, but must confess this was passed on to me, via the web, by one of my sisters (I have five of them and while this is a great story, some of the true life tales we could pass on, would make this one seem really tame!).

I too think the author of this painful tail, ah,, sorry,,, tale, really has a gifted way with words.

I must say, I have learned some things from some of the posts afterwards, so if EVER I do think of going down that particularly painful road again, I'll know better what and where to go, many thanks for those tips....

Please don't be mad at me that it wasn't my true confession,but rejoice in the fact that it wasn't!!
