Not sure in which thread to post this one....

I just like the many details of this one:
a) Why is the army car parking on the disabled people parking place?
b) Why is there a parking place for disabled in front of the recruitment office?

Re: FAIL of the day

I just wish I'd had a camera with me for an epic South West Trains FAIL.
There was a large poster up telling us how leaves on the lines were the railway equivalent of black ice and causes delay. The information screen directly above was telling us the train was late because there was black ice on the line...

Olympic Reflections

Here are the top nine comments made by NBC sports commentators during the Summer Olympics that they would like to take back:

1. Weightlifting commentator: "This is Gregoriava from Bulgaria. I saw her snatch this morning during her warm up and it was amazing."

2. Dressage commentator: "This is really a lovely horse and I speak from personal experience since I once mounted her mother."

3. Paul Hamm, Gymnast: "I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father."

4. Boxing Analyst: "Sure there have been injuries, and even some deaths in boxing, but none of them really that serious."

5. Softball announcer: "If history repeats itself, I should think we can expect the same thing again."

6. Basketball analyst: "He dribbles a lot and the opposition doesn't like it. In fact you can see it all over their faces."

7. At the rowing medal ceremony: "Ah, isn't that nice, the wife of the IOC president is hugging the cox of the British crew."

8. Soccer commentator: "Julian Dicks is everywhere. It's like they've got eleven Dicks on the field."

9. Tennis commentator: "One of the reasons Andy is playing so well is that, before the final round, his wife takes out his balls and kisses them... Oh my God, what have I just said?"

Quote:
FRESNO, California (AP) -- Authorities say they've arrested a man who broke into the home of two California farmworkers, stole money, rubbed one with spices and whacked the other with a sausage before fleeing.
Fresno County sheriff's Lt. Ian Burrimond says 22-year-old Antonio Vasquez was found hiding in a field wearing only a T-shirt, boxers and socks after the Saturday morning attack.
He says deputies arrested Vasquez after finding a wallet containing his ID in the ransacked house.
The farmworkers told deputies the suspect woke them Saturday morning by rubbing spices on one of them and smacking the other with an 8-inch sausage.
Burrimond says money allegedly stolen was recovered.

A couple FAILs at once...
Since I am out of the net for 6 weeks, thought it would be appropriate to
depart with a smile on your face. Enjoy!

Not quite true. The Press does its normally half job in explaining things.

Today was just the warm up of the machine. They sent one beam down the circuit to make sure everything works. The real fun starts next month (don't have the exact date) when they send the two beams in opposite directions and go for the collision (and of course capture/read the results).

So, stay tuned for next month. The black hole of death might still be upon us (if you think that way).

Re: FAIL of the day

Big "FAIL OF THE DAY" for myself akshuly, for being 42 and for never having learned how to copy something from you-tube to the song of the day thread, or for useing the computer for anything else remotely usefull for that matter*.
No, don't explain. If I haven't figured it out then I probably don't deserve to know.
* Being a member of the forum can hardly be called useful.

With an additude like that, you will never learn... sometimes it just takes asking a couple of questions and practicing for you to learn something new.

Speaking of never learning, I thought you'd gone ? Far be it from me to discourage your postings, but can we have our leaving present back ?
