okies! well its all a bit embarrassing im thinking bout moving to Switzerland with my girlfriend but i was worried when i saw a lot of texts from guys on her phone so i need to no if i can trust her! i dont normally agree with this type of sneaking around but its a pretty big deal to leave england, my job and my friends!!

if you can't trust the text messages on her fone while it's still in England then how will you trust her speaking with her friends in front of you on her turf in Switzerland?

My opinion is if you don't trust her, you're better off not following her to another country. Also if you can't discuss this with her and have to resort to sneaking a peak at her text messages, perhaps you need to rethink the relationship.

The phone isn't in England. I spend a bit of time in CH and love it and no a lot of her friends but these are from men i haven't met. I have absolutely no problem going out and her talking to her friends because i no them. I didn't say i didn't trust her i but wanted to no if i could still trust her as i dont no the men and wanted to no what they said.

I won't go into somebody else's SMSs, but I want to forewarn you of something: if you are going to write every single "know" as "no", then if and when you do move to Switzerland please DON'T complain about the local dialect.

If you trust HER does it matter what people are saying to her?

I'm too lazy too do them all for you, but I'll take the first. Swiss is a little rough, but it includes the words "horny game" (well, actually game then horny, but you know how adjective position gets messed up in these foreign languages).

The first part of the sentence says something about today at 8. So, put together, horny games today at 8. Sounds worrisome like that.

Gester looks a little like high German for sister, but I really hope that doesn't work in somehow!

I hope you know that they are joking. They are not translating your texts correctly, but rather trying to wind you up because they disagree with you not directly asking your girlfriend.

Sorry, but if I was thinking of giving up my job, security, etc. and moving to a foreign country to be with someone, I will confess that yes, I'd probably resort to a little bit of snooping to try to reassure myself that the person can be trusted. I've had a few too many "bad experiences" in the past, and perhaps the OP did, too. So that could be why he has trust issues.

Besides, long-distance relationships are rarely easy...
