Zug - German practice anyone?

I have just begun A2 German at Migros Klubschule, but my English is much better ( I'm an academic text book publisher). Is there anyone who would be interested in trading German conversation for English?

Alternatively is there a local group of exp-pats already doing this.....?

The TELC A2 level on languages only is for High German. As Swiss-German is not a written language, TELC doesn't have any classifications for it.

Hallo Feli, I understood that you are learning Hochdeutsch.

I would recommand to make new friends from Germany which lives
in Switzerland. Go to the forums for Switzerland from the Germans,
there you will find a lot.

On the other hand, penfriendships from the Goethe institute are
good for writing,

Hi there, you can try this site www.livemocha.com I know what you feel, cuz when i was just starting to learn german, i also need outreach. In that site you can practise writing and speaking not just German but different languages too.

I see that it has a section where you can find speaking partners, as I'm sure you meant to mention.

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

Hi there!
Anything new on the German langage side?

I am about to (was about to, because the Migros course is completely full ) start level b1 in Migros, in Zug, and would also be looking for someone to practice German with. Could be over lunch time. I don't have much more German knowledge that you do, but we could at least have some practice.

Send me a PM if interested.

Kr,

Céline

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

If you need some German practice head down to the Nähzentrum in Zug behind Hotel Oschen. The owner speaks very clear high german and can talk for hours

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

German is a fun language to learn, but I definitely would not call
it beautiful.

If there is a Meetup, let me know.

I might be able to join you occasionally. I'm a Swiss German native speaker but I can also help you with High German.

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

Well, lots of people wishing to learn, at least!

Shall we organize a meet up?
Lunch time next Friday somewhere close to the station?

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

People in Zug, would you be interested in a German conversation meet-up in Zug over lunch, say 12.15pm till 1.15pm, on Tuesday (Nov 25)? Someone suggest a central place to meet?

Re: Zug - German practice anyone?

I am interested for Tuesday 25th. Anywhere near Zug Bahnhof is fine by me. Suggestions: Almodo bar or Siemans canteen across the road from Almodo bar.

Celine - can you make it too?
