P.S. This is a grammatical joke on the modal verb's polysemy. Don't judge me, judge language history.

But in German, it's the same verb mögen.

edit. Well I guess the corridor in german is just the place of going: gang. Egg or chicken, which came first.

"Ich gang" is "I go" but "der Gang" "dä Gang" is the same as "dä Korridor"
