Hi - have any of you ever come across a magazine called Deutsch Perfekt? It is designed to be an easy to read magazine for people who are learning the language.
I've had a quick look at the website and it seems good - articles are relevant to current events and graded according to difficulty.
I am thinking about taking out a subscription but wanted to ask whether anyone else uses this and how you find it?
Thanks
Tim

I've read this magazine - I didn't get a subscription but borrowed it from a friend. I liked the magazine and the articles. Its especially good to have different levels of articles, and that key words are explained (in simpler German) so that you can understand the general article without having to constantly use the dictionary. But I think you have to have a good basic level of German before you subscribe, for example B1, otherwise the harder articles will be too difficult, and then you can't read half the magazine.

Yeah, I used it - its pretty good if you have a good level of German but I don't think any use for beginners, its too off-putting (I found)

i like the magazine but it takes a long time to read so i buy mine from the kiosk at SH bahnhof, as and when i want rather than having a yearly subscription
To me, Deutschperfekt is a B2 magazine. Some shorter texts are of course useful for B1 learner or some topics will interest you even as B1 learner if it's your thing, but it is quite challenging for intermediate students. But it's an excellent tool to pass the stage of just daily conversation. B1 to B2 is a difficult transition, it takes some times. Deutschperfekt is a good tool on that path. It's great in a language class. The debate pages are usually great fun with adolescents. I used to find lots of interesting texts and pictures to use in class when I was teaching foreign language. There is an online subscription too, somehow.
