Recommendation for children's dictionary?

I have been searching amazon.de for a while and still can't find the German
equivalent to the American Scholastic Children's Dictionary. I'm looking for
something that can be used by kids from 1st to 6th grade. And has more
than 10,000 word.

It can be all in German or German-to-English. The selection at Amazon.de
seems to be either for very young kids with about 1000 words. Or
grown up dictionaries with no pictures. I'm not finding something in
between.

Re: Recommendation for children's dictionary?

We have a number of the books in this series:
http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=sr_nr_sca...b68ce513bc9cd0

My 6 yr olds favourite being:
http://www.amazon.de/Duden-Grundschu...835217&sr=1-11

And the almost 3 yr olds favourite is this one:
http://www.amazon.de/Duden-Kennst-da...7835217&sr=1-6

These are also good for mummies & daddies who wish to learn vocab.

what sort of übernerd would have more than one dictionary?!

Just add "li" to any noun. ;-)
