Quick German translation please

I used an online form to request a duplicate AHV card a few days ago, and this is their reply:

"Weiterleitung der Anfrage

Zuständigkeitshalber lassen wir Ihnen die Obgennante Anfrage zur Weiterbearbeitung zukommen.

Besten Dank für Ihre Mitarbeit und Freundliche Grüsse. "

The word "Obgennante" is one I can't find or work out, and I can't quite get the sense of the reply. Are they going to send me a further form to fill in, or are they just saying that the request will be processed in due course of time?

Thanks.

Re: Quick German translation please

I think it translates more or less to "aforementioned"

And in the specific context, it means "your request decribed in the reference".

Wow, that really was quick, thanks. But I'm still not sure if they're sending me another form to fill in, or sending me the duplicate card.

I think it was a misunderstanding as they state that they forward this to so that you can take care of it? So that does indeed not make much sense. I would try to call them. Let you me know by PM if you need help with German.

Obgenannt is indeed aforementioned but is only used in Switzerland.

It means: For reasons of competence we forward you the above mentioned request for further processing.

So I guess they expect you to process the request / fill in the form

Ahh.

<checks email headers>
<light dawns>

In fact they were forwarding the request to someone else, and just CC'd me on it, so it's now clear that they're asking the other party to deal with it.

Thanks again all.
