tandem learning; your French, or German, or English for my Russian [Geneva]

I am looking for a French, German or English native speaker, who studies Russian, for tandem learning of the conversational skills once a week for about an hour and a half in Geneva.

I am a native Russian speaker. I speak English fluently, but I make errors in pronunciation from time to time. My French and German are in need of improvement.

Re: tandem learning; your French, or German, or English for my Russian [Geneva]

Hi! I am French married to a British man and therefore bilingual...I want to learn Russian but I have so far been pretty bad at making any progree past the alphabet as I am trying to do it on my own...I would be very interested in tandem learning but will be moving to CH only in May, and unfortunately, to Lausanne not Geneva...but would you have any advice on how I could make sure I get to learn Russian?
I have a 1-yr old baby so I was also thinking maybe to get a Russian au pair??

Haven't used it, but it looks very promising: www.livemocha.com

Free online language exchange using Skype technology.

Skype could be useful, still nothing can possible substitute the regular conversations with a native speaker who himself/herself seriously studies a foreign language.

It's even better than a bored paid teacher. When two persons have the linguistic goals they may select a topic and discuss it first in one language than in another.

And it's more useful than conversing with just any native speaker, because in this case it's a person who knows what it takes to learn a foreign language.

Re: tandem learning; your French, or German, or English for my Russian [Geneva]

Hi there,
I have desperately been looking for a Russian tandem partner so if you are still interested... let me know. Once or twice a week would work out perfectly well for me and I can help you with French, Italian and German. Do you still need someone for tandem? If not, would you know of a Russian friend who might be interested?

Looking forward to reading you,

cheers,

Laure
