If you register with Swissquote.ch, you get knighted. I got an email beginning: "Dear Sir NotAllThere..."

I also like that Swica tell me that my premiums are due until 30.11.2015. So if I just wait until December, I'll have nothing to pay!

At my previous employer, the onset of Summer was welcomed in the staff canteen with the notice "Dr Sommer chunt!"
My colleague and I could never work out what Dr. Sommer had ever done to upset everyone.

Re: Swiss translation fail

My town had a fitness center called "free time". Apparently they moved and changed their name... so now they have a huge sign in English stating "good by free time, welcome Sihlpark fitness center!" And yes, I needed to ask a local to understand the sign... thought it was the least motivational campaign to join a fitness center ever.

It's not just the Swiss - this one has always tickled me, especially after Red Dwarf.

That was in the newspaper last year, and Migros said (according to the article) that they'd change it. Has anyone seen the corrected version lately?

The image shown on Migros' website unfortunately doesn't show the Italian labelling -- and they describe the product simply as "Bio burro per arrostire". But the French label is still grammatically incorrect, and you can just see where the Italian label starts (well to the left of the French, just as in the image shown in the posts above), so I'm guessing it hasn't been updated and corrected.

Re: Unfortunate brand names [May contain traces of photos NSFW]

Glad to find this threads re-vitalized ..... ( I never bothered to take camera with me, cause finding the thread to post it would be too much hard work)

Every day I walk past this house being built, and each time my eyes are drawn to the van parked outside ..... in big letters on the side advertising the firms name ........ "FLUCK" - (my mind sees something else) and I wish I`d brought my camera. ( They do kitchens and interior architecture - says the blurb)

On one of our hikes in the ZH/SG area, I came across this place and wondered who would eat at a Poo restaurant!

What's even worse, one employee's last name is "Kot", which means feces. From this page.
