Re: English course for university applying

What level are you wanting to study at? Because if you're looking to do a bachelor degree, very few are taught in English here. Many Master degrees are taught in English though.

Do you want to come to Switzerland to study in English or to study English? If it's the latter I'd suggest you'd be better if in England!

My target level is 7.0 to apply for master degrees. Can you suggest me the school or others to study ?

Re: English course for university applying

Learning English in Switzerland might be difficult as you need a permit to stay here. Apart from English not being the local language here.
Why not try to get your English at a level necessary for a masters study elsewhere and then apply at a university here?
You probably will also need some sort of support/grant as living here is quite expensive

Re: English course for university applying

if you want to get your English level up, go to a country that speaks English, that way you get to practice 24/7, not just in the class room.

Re: English course for university applying

I agree. There's not really much point trying to learn English here as it's not a Swiss language. You'd do better to go to the UK or US to learn.

There are many many countries where English is widely spoken, but Switzerland is not one. For learning and accent, I'd suggest England, Australia, New Zealand, USA or Canada.

Re: English course for university applying

By the way about English language, IŽd like if someone could purppose to me a great generative grammar, in English of course. IŽve both ones, but in the another languages (French and Portuguese). So, one which is applied in great English universities. Thanks a lot for this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generative_grammar is what google came up with... I don't have a clue. It does seem overblown, and a over the top from the std of the 2 posts above though... just saying'
