B2 Certificate Exam on Short Notice

Hello,

I am wanting to apply to University here in Switzerland. I grew up bilingual with German and English, but they won't accept German as a second native language for me since I never completed any schooling in it. Therefore they are requiring me to prove my German ability with a B2 certificate, ideally before the end of October. I don't need to take any courses, just the exam.

Am I able to contact any language school and ask for an exam to do this? Or can I only do this through the official exam dates for Goethe? The next one is in November which would be too late for the application period of the spring semester.

Since I haven't had to do any language schooling I am not sure how this works.
Thanks!

Also look up telc exams, and other Goethe exam locations.

You will not have a problem with B2 if you are native, even if you have never been schooled in it. Make sure you know the formulaic opening and closing sentences for letters, and look up the structure of the tests. No classes are needed in order to take these tests. Good luck!

Re: B2 Certificate Exam on Short Notice

you should be able to go to Goethe or Telc and do the exam

the exam dates from AOZ ( based on TELC) are
here with the earliest exam on 19th Sept for which you will need to register by today
( 1 week in advance)

This is exactly what I am looking for, but unfortunately in the description they say the testing is only to B1 on some parts and A2 on others. Any other tips for B2?

Thanks! I'm thinking this is the best option. I won't have the results in time for the admission deadline, but hopefully they will conditionally accept me.

Maybe I can supplement the pending B2 with a reference from my job that I can professionally communicate in German.
