Can someone direct me to courses / places where someone could learn "academic English" (to enable entry into postgrad program in English) here in Zurich? (The required level is called IELTS if Im not mistaken). My sister-in-law wants to enter an English language post grad program here but needs to up her level of English to a sufficient level.

Sorry, I don't have the answer you're looking for. Just wanted to say that many universities accept TOEFL too. You might want to check if this is the case for the university your sister-in-law is applying to and, if appropriate, look into that option too.
