Hello all,

I've tried wading through the long lists of "what is the best language school" and while there is some helpful information there, I unfortunately can afford neither the time nor the money required by the private schools.

I work at the University of Zurich, which along with the ETH has a Language Learning Centre for Adult Education type courses. I'm hoping someone here has taken these courses and can enlighten me on whether they feel they are any good, what the prices are like etc.

I've used the UZH language centre for learning Danish. The teacher was competent and the choice of learning materials appropriate. Like normal with languages, the success depends on personal motivation. While I did it just for fun, the majority of students who went there were obliged to learn a second Scandinavian language for their Nordistic studies and showed varying levels of interest... But in the end it didn't disrupt the course much.

Thanks for the reply. What was the cost of the course? I can't find any info on costs on the website.
