19/20...only one unfamiliar vocab word. But the simile/metaphor stuff was like digging down into the sludge of my distant high-school memories...

edited to add - my husband scored 55 points on facebook scrabble yesterday with the word 'yoofs' - we were not impressed ;-)

20/20 - but to be honest, that was only because of the multiple choice possibilities on the first few questions

I was getting bored at the simile/metaphor stage because I was already frustrated with someone trying to show off their Flash programming skills and doing it badly.

1 question genuinely wrong; 3 mouse errors made.

Hence I award myself 19/20 for my efforts, 2/10 for the programmer who obviously hasn't grasped the basics of data entry ergonomics.

Same here. All the rest was easy, but I majored in English Lit and Linguistics during my first degree and I've been employed as a writer for almost my entire working life.

...and my second degree was Computer Science, yet I still struggle with simple averages, let alone complicated mathematical equations. I suck at maths. Well done to you for being good at both!
