Seeking certified translator

Hello,

I urgently need to translate some documents in German and French (Lohnausweis für die Steuererklärung, diploma, etc.) to English, appreciate if someone could provide tips where to find the certified translators with the reasonable price.

thanks in advance.

I sent you a PM. There are some members of this board who might also be able to do it for you, presumably at mates rates

Re: Seeking certified translator

I am also in need of certified translations from German to English. My boyfriend and I are moving to Australia at the end of the year and need all of his work documents translated officially.

Would be very grateful if any knows of a reasonably priced service.

Re: Seeking certified translator

If you're dealing with the Aussie government departments, you might likely need an official translation ( or someone with NAATI Level 3 qualifications or competency ).

Re: Seeking certified translator

I think that would probably be the best for his official documents. Do you know where we can find someone with this level of qualification?

thanks

NAATI

Those accreditated are not cheap.

Re: Seeking certified translator

I got a quote of 500CHF for Lohnausweis and Salary slip certificate!
4CHF/50 characters.

Digging for this information to translate got me good results. My apologies to everyone in EF who might profit from translating such a document, but I thought there could be a cheaper way for all the rest of us!

For lohnausweis, one can download the German/French/English version from here

http://www.estv.admin.ch/bundessteue...x.html?lang=de

You need a special viewer with which you can fill this form up, and then print it in pdf format. Send it to the HR for confirmation and perhaps a stamp and signature if they are happy with the document. Tutti frutti, costs you time to fill it up and print it, but save you 500swissies!

Re: Seeking certified translator

I used gygatext (translations@gygatext.ch) near the Central stop to translate a couple of documents from German to English, and I think they also do French... the rates were by far the best I was quoted (they charged the minimum of 60 CHF, when I was getting quotes from other translators for 180 CHF) and the service excellent, only a couple of days turnaround. The translation was certified by their stamp and a signature.
