Hi all,

I'm trying to translate a poem from English to German and am not sure if I've got it right since so many words have so many different meanings based on context...I'm making a stool for our soon to be born first baby, so it needs to be right

This little stool is mine
I use it all the time
to reach the things I couldn't
and lots of things I shouldn't.

This is what I have decided is closest (based on Google and Leo), but any help is appreciated:

Dieser kleine Hocker ist mein
Ich benutze es die ganze Zeit
zu erreichbar die Dinge Ich Könnte nicht
und sehr die Dinge Ich sollte nicht.

I've no idea except that 'Ich' should be 'ich'.

Thank you for the 'ich instead of Ich' as well. Hopefully by the time the baby is reading and speaking mommy will have learned enough German to figure this stuff out on her own!

und viele mehr die ich nicht sollte.

This translation sounds bether at the end:


Dieser kleine Stuhl ist mein,
ich gebrauche ihn tagaus, tagein
zum Erreichen von Dingen die ich wollte,
und viele mehr die ich nicht sollte.

Dieses stuelchen ist mein so soll es sein zu erreich was ist mein oder auch dein den ich bin ja noch so klein
