There's no option on the poll for learning bad language .

I'm willing to teach swedish to anyone interested. I guarantee lots of fantastic curses, swearwords and pick-up-lines. And really, what more do you need?

Bad language, sign language, programming language... many categories are missing. But let us not blame Mr Hsiang. His initiative, despite evident naiveté in some of his poll choices, is laudable.

a question for the mods: would it make sense to merge the other posts requesting language partners into this one?

We can give a single sticky thread for tandem and group chat seekers a try. I'm not sure if a poll is a convenient way to let others know one's language combination but together with a reply on the thread it might work. And poll participation should be limited to those who search fellow language learners, else the information will get diluted.

I'd rather not merge existing threads though and the thread needs a better title that clarifies the purpose, so users won't discuss the towel dialect of the language of love

If you create another thread I'll stick it. If I've misunderstood the point of this thread, let me know...
