Hello folks,

I was on the ETH whiteboard looking for ein austauscher i.e. native German speaker to swap with a native English speaker (conversation classes).

I came across this bunch of enthusiastic mountain climbers who occasionally run conversation groups. Their last meeting was at the Schuetzenhaus Albisguetli pub but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it and so I sent Sabine - the wanderforum administrator an apologetic email.

When I asked for the next meeting she said because of a lack of Native English speakers the group was no longe I then decided to post this here and hope to a few people interested. This is the perfect chance to practice your German whilst meeting real Swiss people and its absolutely free.

Ive been a member for over a year now and they're a great bunch. They also meet regularly in the local bar in Kr. 3 called the Vollmond Tavern v. informal.

Let me know if ur going and I'll come along.

Earlier last yr when the conversation groups were more often it was fun to invent german words during the german speaking half hour and well tolerated, either that or we were pissed.

also they really go to great places you'll see a fantastic side of Switzerland.
