Re: Multi-lingual celebrities

Kobe Bryant speaking Italian

Natalie Portman speaking Hebrew! Most impressive.

Mira Sorvino graduated from Harvard majoring in Chinese Studies and is supposedly fluent in Mandarin. Cant seem to find a video of that on youtube. Would love to hear it!

The greatest. Never a dull word to say in whatever language he was conversing.

Sir Peter Alexander Ustinov, CBE, RIP

"...spoke English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Russian fluently, as well as some Turkish and modern Greek"

Re: Multi-lingual celebrities

It's a bit weird to put a lot of celebrities' native languages on that list. If anything, it's more impressive that they speak English. You mean Garry Kasparov speaks Russian, Heidi Klum speaks German, Monica Bellucci speaks Italian?! No wai!

Re: Multi-lingual celebrities

There are some really surprising entries on that list. It turns out alot of celebrities are more 'talented' that alot of people realise.
Do alot of footballers and managers count? Mouriniho is a legend and rumour has it his Italian is very good now

Penelope Cruz - Spanish

Honestly, I find there is nothing particularly special if they speak couple of foreign languages..
Anyway, I gather people believed they were dumb ?

Sandra Bullock grew up in Germany part time, her mother was a German opera singer.

Lindsey Vonn, the American skier seems to pull off a pretty good German, much better than Lance Armstrong's French.

I saw Lindsey Vonn speaking German on television after the Verbier skiing
a few weeks ago. She was actually pretty good.

He has done you a favour. Now you can try and win the premier league! But I would still prefer Arsenal to do it. Another bilingual legend in Wenger! The man who can't accept his side lost, they are always robbed by the officials

I read somewhere that her best friend on the circuit is Maria Riesch, the Austrian skier, and that their families often spend holidays together.
