Films with German speech and German subtitles ?

I am looking for the same kind of films made for not hearing people. I think that'd improve my German very fast, any idea on where to find them?

I need German speak and German subs.

Re: Films with German speech and German subtitles ?

Any German or Swiss edition DVD should have German subtitles.

That's pretty standard.

And any youtube channel like this?
If you press on CC, then you get synched and real subs in Italian and that's fantastic for a Basic/Intermediate learner to have hundreds of videos like that....

Hi,
You can also watch TV with subtitles using Teletext. Most TVs can show teletext, and main movies on SF1 (like the ones around 8-9pm) have the subtitles for hearing impaired. Go to TXT page 777 or 888 - that's where it should be. I don't know about German TV, look for 'Untertitel' on the main TXT page.
I found it really helpful to learn languages myself.
Regards,
Marcin

You mean like... paying for a movie?!

Not sure if that is still standard today...

I'll try this, there is an equivalent service in Italy, do you know if this also works with Zattoo? my TV is shut off since years, I don't even remember if it has any teletext

Re: Films with German speech and German subtitles ?

Usually standard dvds do not have correct subtitles... shown text is not exactly what is said.... and this makes it useless..., it's still useful for nor hearing people though.
This solution is not doable.
