Need Help With 'moving' Translation

Hi all

I urgently need help in making a 3 mths notice of leaving our aparment to our landlord as soon as possible as we plan to move by end of Aug. The last time I sent a letter to the landlord, they replied saying that next time the letter shd be written in german. Of course, it would be easier to use the language tool in googles. I've tried that, but I don't think it is grammatically correct (more like translating it word by word than the whole sentence). So, if anyone has a copy of this leaving/moving property in german from their past experience, would you let me know how it shd be written in german. Thanking you in advance.

Olivia

Hi Olivia,

Post up what you want to say in English (keep it short), and I'm sure someone will help you out pretty quickly with a translation!

As for your landlord - no comment

Mark

Make sure you send the letter "Einschreiben" (ie. Recorded delivery). Then you have proof that it got there no matter what.

Also, make sure it _arrives_ by the specified date. It's not good enough to have _sent_ it before the deadline. A friend got hit for almost six months extra rent because his quitting letter was one day late - he posted it on the day before last of month, a Saturday, but it arrived on the Monday which was the first of the next month. The landlord refused to accept it.
