Does anyone now were I can find a good language school in St Gallen?

Just avoid Bénédict! It's crap!

I googled it, but only found benedict. Have you studied german there? Is it bad cause it's expensive or because of the teatchers?

As my nick says, I was not student but teacher there. But to be honest, I was not in St. Gallen. Might have nicer people there. Quality of lessons and teacher is ok in general.

I had a classmate last year who used Migros Klubschule (in the train station, just past the Starbucks and the travel office). She was pretty happy with it.

Then again, I did hear some bad things about the school from this year's MBA students, so... I'd guess it boils down to a matter of personal preference. Migros is fairly cheap as these things go, though, so feel free to try them!

The Migros Klubschule can be quite good but it really depends on which teacher you get. Overall it seemed a good experience but beware of getting in a class with too many english speakers....

One of my co-workers went to Inlingua (www.inlingua.ch) and liked it, so I'm going to try it out this fall. Personally I wasn't interested in the "lab style" instruction at Benedict and I heard mixed things about Migros.

Inlingua is the way to go. They have very good techers in St.Gallen. For sure stay away from Benedict. I wasted 2000chf on them when I first came to Switzerland . They give you a book and a tape with a set of headphones and leave you to do it pretty much. They have a teacher at the front of the class that knows several languages and is there to ask questions of. Think of it 20 people in a class all learning different langauges from a book and a tape. No one says anything because everyone turns around and looks at you. There are Swiss learning French etc. German for foreigners. You're almost better off recording the BBC German programs on late at night and watching them the next day.

As a teacher for german language, I can offer lessons for those who don`t speak a word german all the way to those who are already fluent but would like to improve their language skills. If someone is interested, maybe we can get together a group?
