Inlingua is the way to go. They have very good techers in St.Gallen. For sure stay away from Benedict. I wasted 2000chf on them when I first came to Switzerland

. They give you a book and a tape with a set of headphones and leave you to do it pretty much. They have a teacher at the front of the class that knows several languages and is there to ask questions of. Think of it 20 people in a class all learning different langauges from a book and a tape. No one says anything because everyone turns around and looks at you. There are Swiss learning French etc. German for foreigners. You're almost better off recording the BBC German programs on late at night and watching them the next day.
