Hi all,

We are leaving Switzerland and I have been looking at different companies offering storage service for furnitures etc.

We live in a 3.5 room apartment and are planning to store the majority of our furniture and stuff here in Switzerland and move into a furnished rental apartment in our new location in Asia instead of transporting everything along.

What kind of experiences do people have with the different storage companies here - my employer is paying so we are looking for a good-quality, reliable storage company

Anybody has any relevant experiences with this?

We used Weber Vonesch, who are actually based in Zug, and found them to be extremely reliable and efficent, though not cheap, (but that would not appear to be an issue here)

You can rent bastelraums for very little money. Speak to your contents insurance about covering while you leave the country. DONE.

Honestly - it is considerably cheaper than "storage". The only thing we were asked to do by the landlord was to cover the windows so people couldn't see in.

Perhaps not. They are not climate controlled and you may find there are problems with humidity levels and lack of ventilation leading to mold and mildew problems.
