Tax refund

Hello every one,

We are permanently moving out of Switzerland. We stayed here for a year and purchased lots of expensive items, like watches, clothing and electronics ( TV, Laptop, Camera etc ). And every purchase was for more than 300 CHF.

At the time of purchase we didn't took any custom form. But now as we are moving out permanently can we get some tax refund on all those purchase??
If yes what is the procedure?

Thanks every one.

Re: Tax refund

Without the customs form stamped by the vendor, you will not be able to apply for a refund.

But unless you are going to the Bahamas with not sales tax, you will be paying more - you want the 8% Swiss VAT back and then should pay the VAT in the country you are going to, like the UK at 20%...

Re: Tax refund

You needed to complete forms at the vendor, as Abfab said. You would have needed to have exported the goods within 30 days too.
