Hi all,

I have a B permit valid until march 2012 and I live in a small french-speaking town. My job just finished and I have not found another one yet, hence I am planing to go abroad for 3 months to explore other opportunities. I am not sure whether I will return to Switzerland.
If I decide not to return, may I de-registered from abroad?

I really appreciate any hint/help.

When i de-registered last month, i had to go to the gemeinde ambt , hand in the permit and sign a paper i was leaving,give a reason etc..

It was not possible todo so from abroad.

I am leaving in a couple of days....It seems I should plan a brief return to de-registered anyways.

You should request permission in writing, to go away & return later. Look on the back of your permit B. Then you will get your B permit back easily.
