| | | I'm Leaving Switzerland
It seems my time in Switzerland has come to an end. My better half's jobs has come to an end and we have decided to take the plunge and head over to the USA to be nearer to her family.(And for me to put my plan of reclaiming the colonies into action).
We have set a date of Sept for the move
I look forward to the mass clearout that lays ahead..
I have had a great time in Switzerland and will miss it greatly. Thanks to everyone on this forum that have helped me over the last two years. I hope your stay in Switzerland will go from strength to strength. (Except those that have mocked Mr Jippy)
Now to scour the forums and get some hints and tips to leaving Switzerland. If I find anything new I will post on here.

Thats what sucks about Switzerland. Most people use it as a temporary stay | | | | | Yes, it's so hard when friends leave. It's just like a bereavement.
I now find myself asking new arrivals how long they think they'll be staying.
I don't respect myself for this because what I'm really thinking is 'if this person is only staying a couple of years, then maybe I shouldn't let myself get too fond of them, because I'll be so sad when they leave'.
I know I should value even short-term friends and I do, I do, but I never get used to the pain when people I love move on.
Me, I'm never going to leave, except in a box, and that's getting closer and closer.

Aw man. Et tu ?
Although we have not met or have not had much interaction besides some banter here on the EF, I am sure I'm not the only one who is going to miss having you around.
Wish you the best for your move.
I hope we will hear from you even after you are in the land of the free.
PS: Looking forward to the sale and on having dibs on the 50 inch plasma. |
