Hi All,

I'm leaving my current employer in Basel and am taking a position with a new employer that has offered me a short 6 month contract in the US, followed by a permanent contract in Switzerland beginning early next year. Am I able to keep my pension untouched for 6 months and then transfer it to my new Employer's pension scheme when I return (without incurring any early withdrawal penalties)?

You will have to put it with a bank or insurance company for 6 months
and then put it into your company's pension fund.

Do you know if I will pay taxes on it or will the taxes be deferred if I transfer to an appropriate insurance/bank account?

You will only get the tax bill if you cash out.
