I get widows pension here and i am thinking of returning now to the Uk to be able to see more of my Grandsons, does anybody know if you can take it with me..Also because I am 60 and ot retired here what happens to my retirement pension fund? Thank you

Of course you can take it with you, your retirement pension can be drawn as before.

My mother went to Italy on a widow pension and will get the normal pension soon. So, shouldn't be a problem, after all you are entitled to this money.

Your widow's pension will be paid into the UK bank / post account you wish. The Post will probably be the cheapest.

Are you already receiving your British retirement pension?

Your Swiss AHV pension will be calculated when you retire (Is it now 64 years of age) and paid out in GBP in England. I believe you should contact Newcastle pensions and they process the claim for you. Maybe you can check on this before you leave here, at your local AHV office.

I claimed for my British pension here and the Swiss informed Newcastle who now pay me here. That is the way it works in the EU now.

Hi, Thanks very much to you all for your info, it helps me a lot. I am receiving my British pension already, it started in June. So I am correct in thinking that when I get to 64, the Swiss pension will be sorted out then?
As you say I am entitled to it.

Hi, Just to let other people know if they are in the same situation as me.
I phoned the Central compensation Office CENT in Geneva 0227959111.
I asked the relevant questions, they put me through to a gentleman who spoke english and he told me that I get the widows pensionuntil I am 64 then they automatically calculate my retirement pension and they pay me whichever is the higher amount. so thank you everybody for your help.
