Good time of year to leave. Days suddenly getting shorter and greyer here. Clocks changing at the weekend will make the evenings even worse. You'll arrive for fireworks night, Christmas lights, Christmas, Boxing Day, and NYE.
Then you can book a cheap (usually cheaper to book from the UK including flights!) skiing holiday to Austria, Germany or even Switzerland.
