| I have some money both in Pillar 2 and 3 is it the same procedure with both? Also I have heard that both me and my wife need to be in person to sign the withdrawl form... is that true? | |

We've recently gone through this due to moving overseas.
3rd pillar: just in hubby's name, but I think I may have signed the forms too (we were in UBS signing lots of close-out forms, so I'm not sure). Money had some withholding tax applied, and was transferred straight into a regular bank account.
2nd pillar: just in hubby's name, through his company. His fund had to transferred out of the company scheme within 30 days of leaving the company; there are two choices:
- move the money into a vested benefit account at a provider of your choice
- cash out the money direct into a normal bank account.
The move to a vested benefits account could be done just on my husband's signature. We did this in order to move the money into a canton with better withdrawal tax rates. Then we cashed out the vested benefit fund - this DID require my signature, and the signature had to be officially notarised, they needed copies of both our passports for signature/ID checking, etc.
