I'm looking for testimonials on relocation companies anyone has used here in Zurich to relocate back to the USA. I have a couple of estimates but nothing unbiased to help me make the decision. If anyone can help me by sharing their experience, I would be very grateful

You are looking for a company that handles repatriation, right? Did you have a relocation company assist you when you moved here? If so, they would be the logical choice, unless you were not happy with their services. Or perhaps you did not have the services of anyone when you arrived.

What services are you looking for exactly?

I used TeamAllied twice now. Uk to Switzerland, Switzerland to Florida. Furniture arrived perfectley both times although I had to keep them on their toes during the second move. The communication was a bit slack.

NOT Crown.

We are looking for a relocation company as well. Did you find someone in the end and would you recommend them?

We used Interdean to move from the US and will use them again if/when we decide to move back. We moved our entire household including a car and piano. Everything arrived in tact and the move was seamless from beginning to end.

I did some work for Auris relocation and was payed by crown. I invoiced them on 20.12.11 and did not get payed until into March this year, so it leaves me with little good to say about them!

yeah. sometimes, I may come back and tell the Crown story.

We move a lot, but not to/from USA...

We first tried Nägeli, but were not very impressed by them. Disorganized, movers did not speak German or English and some damaged items.

Next time hubby's company organized 2 international and 1 local move through Packimpex, and we have always been happy with their services. They are fast, careful and professional with attention to detail. In our case, the company paid the bill but their prices seemed very reasonable considering that they took care of absolutely everything.

Today I am having over 3 movers for quotations. All based in the UK - London. How did these guys from Zug managed to quote the job when in the UK?

I hope you told Crown the story. If you are going to name and shame, at least say why.

I don't work for Crown but I have clients who have used their moving services and were satisfied.

I have also bad experiences with them and the companies working under their name.

I know lots of unsatisfied people and I know also some with happy stories.

3 movings 2 bad experiences for us. But again, it depends of which companies they hire to pack and unpack...

Please do. We weren't too happy with Crown - the guys they contracted who moved us out of our old place were great, but only two of them came over here with the truck. The local Crown hires drafted in to help were inexperienced and completely useless - damage to the apartment and to furniture (that included a guy who decided to work without a shirt in the heat and to use his upper body, which was covered in sweat, to push stuff up a set of stairs -> body print on a delicate white fabric cover, cleaning efforts failed, write-off), boxes not unpacked ("sorry, they'll only pay us for two days") and in the wrong places, and so on. All on the very last step of the move between the truck parked in front of the door and our flat.

I'll second the Interdean recommendation, but I will also add that they ain't cheap.

Anothet vote for interdean but pricey. V good with valuables.
