Thanks to everyone who's given me advice over the last 6 months

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to those people on this forum whose
practical advice has made my stay out here tolerable... particularly as I came out here very suddenly and didn't even know what the Gemeinde was..

... and also to acknowledge how useful this forum can be... trawling it has answered many questions I haven't needed to ask....

... funny thing is that although I'm excited to return to my home in England, I'm going to miss claustrophobic (Northern) Switzerland ! ( I live on the edge of a national park in a small village in England, so I'm used to plenty of space! ).

... When I came out here I nearly went back within a month, glad I stuck it out though, in a pokey flat, with a shared washing machine, even if only for 6 months... looking forward to a decent curry when I get back though !!

Cheers.

Best of luck on your return to the UK (which national park?) You probably won't notice much difference in the temperature at the moment!

Peak District or Yorkshire Dales will be freezing- shame you never made it to the mighty Jura - limestone country and very similar to the above two. Big space, big sky. Bonne chance.
