Experience with Liberty Pension.

I am about to leave and going to give Liberty Pension services to handle my pension fund (According to their website, I save over 5000 franks). Just wondering if someone has already used their service. Since it is my lifesavings, I can not take risk.
Thanks

Re: Experience with Liberty Pension.

So we are going through the same process. Leaving CH, to a non EU, pension coming as cash.

We took advice from the wife`s pension fund (she earns all the money) and they (Swisslife) are helping us open an account in Schwyz to do the same thing you are planning. They just sent me the forms and they are Liberty Pension forms so obviously Swisslife contract out with Liberty Pension funds.

Based on that I would be pretty comfortable they are ok.

PS If you are with a major pension fund you should be able to find someone inside that fund to help you with this, for a fee of about 500chf of course ;-)

Re: Experience with Liberty Pension.

Hi

Q1

I "plan" in the future to move to an EU country and would like to know, how easy was it to take out money deposited with Liberty-Pension?

Q2.

During on-line application for Vested Benefit Account, the user is asked to choose one of their three partner banks (custodian of the vested account fund) - Sparkasse Schwyz or Credit Suisse or and Lienhardt and Partner Privatbank Zurick AG.

As per the fund manager, for the account holder the choice of the custodian bank makes no difference on the safety of the fund or taxation. I'm not sure about it and hence would like to get some feedback from EF members.

Thanks

Ashish

Re: Experience with Liberty Pension.

Please could I also ask whether any EF members have any experiences to share about Liberty Pensions, or about PensExpert, who offer a similar service to people withdrawing their Swiss pension savings?

Many thanks

Angus

Re: Anyone used Liberty Pension fund?

I am in a similar situation. My tax consultant advised me to use them so just a few days back sent the a/c opening documents..
Apparently they work with UBS and some other big banks too. But no personal experience to tell yet

Re: Anyone used Liberty Pension fund?

Hi My de registration process got delayed because of tax declaration. But it will be over in two weeks and then I will be using Liberty pension. They appear to be genuine. I have send them an email and they have replied with all the details. Since we are going through all the official formalities, it looks ok to me. But no one reported any experience with them and I am surprised.
Any way I will be using them, Jason

Re: Anyone used Liberty Pension fund?

Yes, Finally I have completed my pension fund transfer through Liberty pension. They have kept the promise and the process completed without any hassle.
They have two options, transfer within 10 business days = chf 900, and transfer in 15 to 30 days = 475chf.
Regards, Jason
