Relocating to canada

Hey Friends,

While in Zurich, English Forum was of great use to me and my family. I have enjoyed to be a member of it.

Now I am moving to Toronto, Canada. Does anyone know any forum similar to Englishforum for Canada.

Please help me if any one has any information

Just watch all of these:

Seriously though, it's a whee bit easier to integrate. I know native Chinese who have lived in Canada and Switzerland and then found Canada much simpler.

Hey! My wife and I are moving to Toronto as well, we are in the process now of getting movers to provide quotes, finding someone to take over the apartment, deciding what to sell, and all that fun stuff. We are planning to be out end of august, how about you?

I've lived for years in various countries around Europe, both in the north and the south, and moving to Switzerland was a big cultural shock

Huge bureaucracy, arbitrary rules about all sorts of things, getting random bills out of nowhere or bills for a period of before you get into a contract for a service (?!?!) etc etc... I'd never seen anything like that.

To be honest, after getting used to all of the above I found that the quality of life is not that bad.

It's not specifically for expats, but RedFlagDeals has a forum that's very active for GTA folks.

http://forums.redflagdeals.com/

It's been around a really long time, and also is useful to keep an eye out for some deals if you're in the market for something.
