Metallic / Plastic trunks for move

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know where it would be possible to buy big metallic or plastic trunks for moving purposes in Zürich?

Kind Regards,

Nicolas

Any DIY shop sells large plastic containers, about as big as a small chair.

Coop has the Grey GEZ containers on sale this week, IIRC.

Dear JagWaugh,

Thank you for the info. Would you happen to have the link related to the Grey GEZ containers you mention because I can't seem to find them on the Coop website.

Thanks,

Nicolas

Look for Rako Behälter. Even on sale they aren't exactly cheap.

I was more looking in line of a storage trunk which you could send out when moving out of the country...

Re: Metallic / Plastic trunks for move

That looks more decorative than functional to me - if you're after something cheap, waterproof and robust, how about these :

Landi blue barrels

Wait, don't laugh me out of the room ! They use these things across Africa and in the Himalaya to transport goods in the most rugged consitions. Whether they're useful for you or not depends what you intend to put in them - it has a circular cross section so not always so practical to pack. But for clothes, bedlinen, towels, some foodstuffs etc, they're great - big and cheap, waterproof and super strong.

It's not such a bad idea. I mean for clothes, linen, towels and so forth, why not?

I could buy one for those items, but for other articles such Computers, printer, weights, paperwork, etc... I would need something like a big metallic box which you would use to ship out of the country...
